On Wednesday 28th September 2022, Google released updated documentation outlining a more detailed timeline for the planned deprecation of support for Manifest V2 (MV2) browser extensions, including an extension to the previously announced dates.

Further information is available directly from Google below:

At this time there has been no update made to the equivalent guidance from Microsoft, so it is not yet confirmed whether timelines for Microsoft Edge support of MV2 browser extensions will move to reflect these updates.

SS&C Blue Prism Browser Automation Agent v1 is now available

To coincide with this news, SS&C Blue Prism are happy to announce the availability of the SS&C Blue Prism Browser Automation Agent for Manifest V3 (MV3) extensions. In addition to offering MV3 compatibility for previous releases of Blue Prism, the Blue Prism Browser Automation Agent also provides the ability to continue to insert and invoke JavaScript on web pages after the adoption of MV3 browser extensions.

The first release of the Browser Automation Agent is compatible with Blue Prism versions 6.5 to 6.10.5. A subsequent release, expected in October, will extend this support to include all versions from Blue Prism versions 6.4.2 to our latest 7.1 release.

More information on MV3 browser extensions and future releases of the Browser Automation Agent can be found in the Knowledge Base.
